Avebury Trusloe
Situated approximately ½ way between Swindon and Devizes, Avebury is famous for the huge bank and ditch surrounding the three prehistoric stone circles, one of which is the largest in Britain. At the Great Barn Museum the Wiltshire Folk Society's collection is displayed and you can see examples of thatching, blacksmithing and saddlery. Avebury Manor dates from the late 1550's and nearby Silbury Hill is the largest prehistoric mound in the country. Avebury has several small shops including a post office, a parish church and a recently refurbished public house. For the sporting and outdoor enthusiast there is a cricket club, numerous footpaths and bridleways along the Ridgeway.

The property
West Stable lodge is located in the courtyard of Westbrook Farm, a beautiful period farm dating back to the early 1600's. The property was converted to a very high specification in recent years. It is approached through automatic gates opening onto a long gravelled drive. Turning right into the courtyard, West Stable Lodge is the first property on the left. A covered porch opens into a small kitchen with appliances, door into an inner hall, beautiful bathroom to the left with shower, door opening into a large double bedroom with build in wardrobes and double doors from here look out over an ornamental garden with views over the paddocks and downs beyond. Finally door right into the good sized sitting room with 'bar' and double doors opening onto a covered balcony.
